Moles, Playas y Selva

This route combines the best of the country. You will know the traditional flavors of Mexican cuisine and combine them with ecotourism. From Puebla to Oaxaca you can enjoy outstanding dishes that turn the cuisine into real Mexican jewels; You cannot miss the “moles” here. Then you will enjoy the spectacular Mexican beaches where you can rest and if you are ready for adventure: surfing. To finish the tour a state full of beauty and tradition: Chiapas, here you can Palenque and the amazing waterfall “Agua Azul”.

 

Day 1:

Arrival to Mexico City. The capital of the country, the city that is loved and hated by all, since it is known as one of the most chaotic cities in the world, due to the large number of inhabitants it has and its limited space. Legend has it that the Aztecs founded their city when they found the eagle eating cactus, just as their god Huitzilopochtli had dictated. It is currently the most modern city in the country, mother of Mexican cuisine and one of the cities with more museums in the world.Our hotel is near the center of the city, on the most beautiful avenue in the city.

 

Day 2:

Mexico City -Teotihuacán. We will wake up early and have breakfast at the hotel, from here we will pick up our motorcycles. We will leave in the direction of Teotihuacán. Located 50 km from Mexico City, it is known as the sacred city. It was built between the 1st and 7th century. The great pyramids of the sun and moon are striking; traced with a geometric and symbolic arrangement; besides that it has the temple of Quetzalcoatl. We will be able to climb all the way to the top of the pyramid of the sun to watch the impressive view of Tenochtitlan.After lunch, we will head back to Mexico City for a good night rest before Puebla. 

Day 3:

Mexico City - Puebla. Early breakfast in the hotel before heading to Puebla. Surprise yourself with the splendor of it´s elegant colonial buildings, the streets and flavors that honor its nickname "the city of the angels". Legend has it that after the construction of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, engineers and architects wondered how to carry a bell of 8000 kilos. One morning, residents woke up with the news that he was already at the top. This legend is responsible for this beautiful city called “Puebla de los Ángeles”.We will check-in at our hotel and then take a tour around the center of the city; afterwards we will have lunch at one of the best restaurants in Puebla. The afternoon will be free to explore. 

Day 4:

Puebla - Oaxaca: Oaxaca includes a world of native languages ​​and groups of the region, along with gastronomic, orographic and maritime exuberance. Rich in history and culture, Oaxaca is a fascinating destination where ancient civilizations, colonial architecture and living traditions converge. The culture and the warmth of its people are the main reasons to travel and be enveloped by the universe of Oaxaca. After a late morning, we will ride to Oaxaca. Once we have arrived we will visit the center of this beautiful city before heading to dinner  

Day 5:

Oaxaca - Puerto Escondido: At the end of the Sierra Madre del Sur, a mountain range that winds through Oaxaca and descends to the Pacific Ocean, is located the Puerto Escondido costal destination. The city rises around a shimmering bay surrounded by huge rock formations. The port awaits you with many surprises to share with anyone who wants to experience the adventure, the beauty and the sublime of life in one place. The ride will be long, we will leave early morning, even though it is only 257 kms away, the path will prove difficulty to unexperienced drivers.  Once we have arrived, feel free to jump in the warm ocean water to refresh yourself! The night life will prove to be as much fun as full moon parties.

Day 6:

Day-off! Today we will let you rest, you can decide if you would like to surf, take a relaxing day on the beach or explore the area in your motorcycle. 

Day 7:

Puerto Escondido - Huatulco. Your sea breeze will fill you as the last rays of the sun leave your essence on your skin; this is how you will feel in any of the nine bays of Huatulco. They are called Bays National Park as a whole and were declared a protected reserve. Each one shows natural beauty in its own way. Huatulco is an earthly paradise. From one beach to another. After breakfast we will ride to Huatulco, another Mexican jewel! We will relax with a delicious dinner and a beautiful sunset. 

Day 8:

Huatulco - Tehuantepec. After an early lunch, we will travel to Tehuantepec to spend the night. The name in Nahuatl means "hill of the beasts", which reveals that the marked biodiversity of the place facilitated the encounter of the natives with diverse species like the jaguar, which surely motivated its name.The city is of a colonial and provincial beauty, with a touch of coastline. In this city there are buildings such as the Convent of Santo Domingo de Guzmán. 

Day 9:

Tehuantepec - San Cristobal de Las Casas. At the end of any street there is almost always a mountain and fog because San Cristobal de las Casas rises in the middle of the state accompanied by pines and oaks. You can buy splendid crafts in jade and amber while listening to locals speak in native languages. It´s buildings are examples of Baroque, Plateresque and Neoclassical, such as the Cathedral of San Cristobal or the “Ex Convento de Santo Domingo de Guzmán”.  

Day 10:

San Cristobal de las Casas - Agua Azul - Palenque

Swept in morning jungle mists and echoing to a dawn chorus of howler monkeys and parrots, the mighty Maya temples of Palenque are deservedly one of the top destinations of Chiapas and one of the best examples of Maya architecture in all of Mexico. After a quiet morning in San Cristobal, we will travel to Palenque. Before reaching the city, we will stop at “Agua Azul”; beautiful Mexican waterfalls.

Day 11:

Palenque

The last day of the trip, so we are making it a day trip to the ancient Mayan city! We will find Palenque in the middle of the Mexican jungle. It is said that only 10% of the city has been discovered, because most of the city was absorbed by the jungle covering the pyramids with mahogany, cedar and sapodilla trees.

Day 12:

Palenque-San Cristobal de las Casas

We will return to San Cristobal and have the afternoon free. We will get together for a ferwell dinner party before heading to sleep.

Day 13:

Flight back to Mexico City/Home
